Located in the Ribeira Sacra, Alma Das Donas farm their 3 hectares of vines, in an area famed for its peace and tranquillity. Here above the river Sil, on the perilously steep slopes of Panton and Quiroga, all vineyard work must be done painstakingly by hand.
The soils are slate and granite and the wine is aged on its lees for four months. The resulting wine is clean with an intense mineral profile, beautifully balanced by apple and pear fruit and a creamy texture. A fabulous varietal which will rival a Burgundian of equivalent price.
Pairs well with rich seafood and simple chicken dishes.
