Formerly the Pilar Aranda sherry house, founded in 1850, this historic sherry producer was purchased by famous Jerez-born bullfighter Alvaro Domecq in 1999. Committed to maintaining the tradition of his hometown's iconic wine styles and the history of the estate he took over, the sherries produced at this house are of the highest quality.
A classic dry Oloroso, dark mahogany in colour, composed of sherry aged an average of 15 years in the solera system. Deep aroma of raisin, walnut and sandalwood. Dry and robust, with further nutty and woody flavour on the palate and a hint of salinity. Excellent complexity, this makes an excellent drink alongside a cheeseboard or with game dishes.
