Bodega Atamisque, named after a local shrub, are a quality-driven small producer in the heart of Mendoza's Tupungato sub-region. At 1300 metres elevation, their vines benefit from a combination of excellent sun exposure and cold nights giving perfect balance between ripeness and freshness. French winemaker Philippe Caraguel works the fruit with care into very classy wines, with well balanced oak not overpowering the natural character of the variety and region.
A very attractive full-bodied expression of Petit Verdot, deep in colour with a purple tinge. Damson, violet and dark chocolate notes with smooth full tannins and a lasting finish.
