Superb barrel fermented Chardonnay from the Rioja region. This is the first vintage to see the blend as 100% Chardonnay.
Situated in the stunning medieval town of Laguardia, Bodegas Casa Primicia is one of the oldest wineries in Spain, dating back to the 15th century.
From vines of almost 30 years old and soils of chalk and clay. It is aged in both American and French oak for 6 months - the former for richness and the latter for elegance. It is blended together to create a well balanced, sophisticated white Rioja and can age for many years.
A delightful nose of peach and citrus with hints of banana. Beautifully balanced on the palate with a rich texture and fresh, citrusy acidity. Plenty of depth here and a serious glass of white wine.
