In the heart of Volnay this is an estate that was handed over to the son 8 years ago. Pierrick has since won the title of ‘young vigneron of the year’ from Bourgogne Aujourd’hui magazine. He uses minimal sulphur, none during fermentation and lets the wines evolve naturally. The results are wines with very pure fruit, not masked by oak, silky tannins and really good length.
This particular vintage has a delicate and floral nose with aromas of raspberry and violets. On the palate the wine is soft, elegant and full of fruit and energy. It displays sharp mineral on the beautiful dark bouquet of fresh red fruit ripe and black cherries.
Thanks to the typical softness and elegance of this Volnay it is the perfect match for guinea fowl, duck or quail.
