Established by Pierre Guyot in 1869, this venerable wine domaine holds a rich history that passed from its founder to his son-in-law, Jules Lame. Notably, Lame managed to navigate the phylloxera crisis, emerging as one of the region's pioneers by planting grafted vines. The Cuvee Prestige, a distinguished offering from this estate, is meticulously crafted from the oldest vines nestled in mid-slope parcels, where the clay-chalk soil imparts a unique character.

Presently overseen by Philippe Boucard, who manages the estate alongside his wife, sister, and brother-in-law, the atmosphere is a joyous one. Philippe, an amiable individual, delights in engaging discussions about politics and sports, especially while sharing conversations over aged bottles in the domaine's well-stocked tuffeau cellars beneath the winery. Once he wields the corkscrew, escaping such enjoyable gatherings proves to be a challenge.

The Cuvee Prestige stands as a delightful testament to the wonders of Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley. Showcasing the grape's finest qualities, it boasts appealing red fruit flavours, a herb-infused floral perfume, and the refinement of silky, elegant tannins acquired through meticulous aging in both barrel and bottle. Balanced with juicy acidity, this wine is a versatile companion to various dishes, from roast chicken to oily fish like salmon or a spread of antipasti.
