Domaine Charles Frey has been practicing of the organic and biodynamic viticulture since 1996, being a pioneer among the first winemakers to work that way. The family history goes back to the 18th century : first vintage was made in 1963, by Charles Frey, upon his return from the war. His son Dominique took over the estate in 1984, and today, the vineyard is run by 3rd generation Julien and Thiébaud. The vineyard extends on 14 hectares, on remarkable and various terroirs (sand, granite, clay, silt, mica), divided in distinct locations (Grands Crus, hamlets).

An exciting new take on the classic Alsace varieties Gewurztraminer and Riesling, the Maceration gives the wines an extended 15-day skin contact, resulting in it's deeper colour and rich spicy aroma.

Lychee, marmalade and stem ginger aromas. Full-bodied palate with subtle tannins and abundant fruit and spice notes.
