Across their 38ha of HVE-certified sustainable vineyards, the Chateau de la Cormerais produce gastronomic wines, authentic to the Nantais terroir of their origin. In Muscadet Sevre-et-Maine, their site is split between the gneiss terroir of Monnieres St-Fiacre and the gabbro of Gorges. This allows them to produce a range of wines, expressing these unique soil types through the Melon de Bourgogne variety.
This wine, a blend of different plots across their estate, displays the freshness and minerality characteristic of this region. Aging Sur Lie for a minimum of 6 months in underground tanks helps to develop a soft, rounded mouthfeel to balance the bright acidity. Crisp citrus fruits, flinty and saline notes and a long firm finish. Shellfish's best friend, but also delicious with goat's cheeses or salads.
