Condes de Albarei was established in 1988 by a group of growers from the Salnés Valley, dedicated to producing top-quality Albariño wines. The Salnés Valley, one of the five sub-zones of Rías Baixas, boasts the largest vineyard area in the DO. With an Atlantic climate, high rainfall, and sandy soils, the region is ideal for cultivating Albariño.

Located within 1 km of the coast, the winery sources its grapes from pergola-trained Albariño vines grown in sandy soils. The grapes are carefully selected in the vineyard, hand-harvested into 20kg crates, and further sorted at the winery. After destemming, the grapes are pressed, and fermentation occurs over approximately 15 days at 16-18ºC using wild yeasts. Partial malolactic fermentation also takes place with naturally occurring yeasts. The resulting wine is a fresh and bright Albariño with notes of stone fruit and orange blossom, featuring peach fruit with light tropical notes and a mouth-watering citrus zest character. It finishes dry and crisp, making it a perfect match for various seafood and grilled vegetable dishes.
