Soalheiro may be known as masters of Alvarinho, but they can work their magic with the other varieties of Portugal's Minho region as well - in this case Loureiro.
From their Innovation range this is a limited release of sparkling Loureiro made in the petillant naturel style - with a single fermentation started in tank and finished in bottle. It's not disgorged so expect a bit of cloudiness!
This is a pet-nat packed with flavour, the subtle floral character and delicious citrus and apple fruit of Loureiro really comes through. The bubbles are soft and frothy and it finishes lovely and dry with a hint of stony minerality.
