Roagna are a historic, and highly regarded Piedmont producer who can trace their roots back to the mid 1800's in Barbaresco. They are known for their old vineyards, which are farmed organically.
Made from grapes grown in the Pajé and Carso vineyards in Barbaresco, the Dolcetto d'Alba comes from vines aged at a minimum of 45 years. The harvest, which occurs in September at the peak of fruit ripeness, is followed by approximately one year of aging in neutral oak botti. This wine boasts a stunning deep ruby hue and offers a fragrant bouquet reminiscent of plum, cherry, and spice. It is a fruity, refreshing, and well-balanced wine with a notable grip on the finish, making it a delightful representation of Dolcetto.
