Domaine des Trinites is a 24 hectare estate on the schist soils of Faugeres and Pezenas in the Languedoc. Owner and winemaker Simon Coulshawe farms organically and follows a very natural winemaking process in the cellar. His wines are beautiful expressions of this southern French terroir, fresh and drinkable with expressive fruit and minerality.
Le Pech Mege comes from a single vineyard on the Pezenas portion of the property, a blend of 55% Grenache with 25% Carignan and 20% Syrah. Beautiful ripe red fruits, plum and cherry, with warm spiciness and a hint of lavender on the nose. The palate opens rounded and generous with plenty of fruit but there is no shortage of freshness. A superb red for casseroles and roasted meats.
