Affordable Cru Classé, this is the pinnacle of Provence rosé.
The estate encompasses 57 hectares of prime vineyards with an average vine age of 40 years (the oldest being planted in 1930). The vineyard is certified organic, working in a natural way to maintain the health of their soil and vines.
The Côtes de Provence Rosé is a blend of all the region's grape varieties, with Grenache as the main constituent, but includes Syrah, Mourvedre, Rolle, and an ancient, lesser known varietal indigenous to Provence called Tibouren.
This huge blend gives the wine wonderful layers of complexity, but don't worry, it's still quintessentially Provençal in style. It has vibrant red berry aromas, combined with creamy and spicy notes and a clean, fresh acidity.
On the palate, it is wonderfully fresh, with a clean, zippy acidity that keeps the palate cleansed and craving more. Red fruit dominates but there's a lovely savoury undertone to it making it a great and versatile food wine.
It is of course very easy drinking by itself too.
