The Vigneau-Chevreau familyhave 5 generations of winemaking knowledge behind them spanning back to 1875. Their 30-hectare domaine is planted entirely with Chenin Blanc and the late Jean-Michel Vigneau was at the very forefront of organic winemaking, seeing the benefits way back in the early 90s and by 1999 the Domaine was certified organic. The new generation of the Vigneau family have gone one step further by becoming one of only two estates in Vouvray to be certified Biodynamic.
This Domaine Vigneau-Chevreau Vouvray Pétillant Brut is a beautiful gently sparkling wine made with 100% Chenin Blanc grapes grown organically and biodynamically, it offers complex, well-balanced flavours of dry, crunchy apples, and is an excellent and original aperitif.
