This Norwegian Sea herring is gently smoked over beech wood and lightly spiced with white pepper and ramson (wild garlic). This is FANGST’s tribute to the mighty herring, a fish that has been fundamental to Nordic fishing, trade and food culture since the Middle Ages. The herring or sild is smooth, subtle-tasting and full of delicate flavours. FANGST say they wanted a taste of the coast and a hint of the forest.
Ingredients: smoked herring (Clupea harengus) (70%), organic cold pressed rapeseed oil (28.2%), herbal salt (1.8% Atlantic Sea salt, white pepper, ramson, celeriac, horseradish, onion, chives, rosemary).
