A selection of their best and ripest fruit, with a particular emphasis on regional specialty Alicante Bouschet, aged for 12 months in 400l French oak before blending, and another 6 months in large foudre to bring the blend together before bottling.
Deep red with an impenetrable inky purple core, the aroma is heady and ripe, sweet blackberry coulis, tobacco, dark chocolate and festive spice notes giving a warm and hearty impression. Very full-bodied, with plush velvety tannins, this is very open and generous style, with lingering notes of roasted plums and sweet spices. Pairs excellently with slow-cooked meats like leg of lamb or braised oxtail.
