A wine made by the excellent Andrew Will winery to celebrate the quality of fruit coming from Columbia Valley vineyards in Washington State. Using minimal intervention in the winery to preserve the most authentic flavour of the fruit, it is a wonderful example of the fresh and balanced style of this region.
A blend of 55% Cabernet Franc, 26% Merlot and 19% Cabernet Sauvignon fermented with only the wild yeast present on the grapes and aged in neutral French oak barrels, this strongly resembles a great Bordeaux from the right bank. The bouquet is filled with black and red berries, fresh herbs and tobacco. The Cabernet Franc makes its impression on the palate, with fresh red currant and lots of spicy notes. Nice firm tannins make this ideal with any meat dishes and give it the potential to age longer if you wish.
