Bodegas Casa Primicia is a renowned winery steeped in history, located in the heart of La Rioja, Spain’s most famous wine region. Housed in a building dating back to the 15th century, the winery is one of the oldest in the area, blending tradition with modern innovation to produce exceptional wines.

At Casa Primicia, winemaking is a craft passed down through generations, with a focus on sustainability and respect for the land. The estate cultivates indigenous grape varieties such as Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano, producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of Rioja Alavesa. Known for their balance, elegance, and complexity, these wines are a testament to the winery's deep connection to the region's winemaking heritage.

Julian Madrid founded the bodegas, which is now run by his grandchildren. Their aim is to make magical wines, accessible to everybody. The fruit is collected from a selection of vineyards in 15-kilo boxes and then passed through the manual sorting table. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is transferred to barrels for malolactic fermentation. Once fermentation is complete, it is racked and left in barrels for 20 months, in fine French oak. After gentle clarification and delicate filtering, it is bottled to complete its refining.

This 100% Tempranillo is very complex, with aromas of ripe black fruit, spicy notes with toasted touches on a milky background. The palate is balanced, with an excellent tannic structure and fruity sensations, a very pleasant and long finish.
