The grapes for this Cabernet come from a single vineyard plot located on a ridge (320m above sea level) that has aspects ranging from East through North to West. It is very exposed resulting in small vines with low yields. This has allowed the estate to make a relatively fine grained Cabernet. The clay soils bring power, tension and fresh acidity to the grapes sourced. A couple of barrels of other varieties are blended in to add to the complexity of flavour and tannin structure.
