Created to illustrate the regional character of western Sonoma County, this wine really captures the minerality drawn from vineyards with sandy Gold Ridge soils, something of a rarity in Californian Chardonnays. Its name will give away one of its more prominent flavours: toasted hazelnuts. This is a flavour which persists throughout vintages and stems directly from the vineyards. Produced mainly for restaurants, small allocations are sometimes given to lucky retailers like ourselves. So grab a bottle before it's gone!
In the warm 2022 vintage it shows extra ripeness and depth, with nectarine, marzipan and brioche notes alongside the lovely minerally freshness typical of Les Noisetiers.
