Made with 100% Nerello Mascalese, this native grape is generally regarded as Sicily's finest red variety. It is late ripening, retaining high acidity in hot conditions. Thought to be related to Sangiovese, it has a red fruit profile, predominantly cherry, with wild berry notes. It is a youthful example, vibrant and uplifting, vinified in stainless steel.
It pairs well with food of the region, prosciutto, sausages and tomato based pasta dishes.
