Nicola Manferrari, one of Italy’s most esteemed winemakers, is renowned for his mastery in crafting textured and expressive white wines from Friuli. Originally trained as a pharmacist, his passion for viticulture led him to take over his family’s vineyards in 1981, eventually transforming Borgo del Tiglio into a benchmark for the region. His meticulous approach brings out the distinct characteristics of Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc, Malvasia, and Chardonnay, showcasing the unique climate, soil, and vine age of Friuli.
This wine offers a beautifully floral and spiced profile, harmoniously balanced with subtle oak. Crafted from hand-harvested grapes, it undergoes delicate pressing, malolactic fermentation, and is aged for nine months in 250-liter oak barrels, resulting in an elegant and refined expression of Friuli’s terroir.
