A fantastic Barbera d’Alba from Mommiano in the township of Canale in Northern Italy. 100% Barbera grown on South/West facing vineyards. After picking the grapes are crushed and de-stemmed with a 7/10 day maceration. Alcoholic fermentation in steel vats.
Exuberant fruity red wine with an intense ruby red colour. Fruity nose rich in black berries and Mediterranean herbs with a hint of vanilla. Equally powerful and elegant with good structure. Lots of ripe fruit on the finish. Great with lamb or roasted meats. It also goes well with pasta with tomato sauce and aged white cheeses.
