Domaine Georges Noëllat, in the heart of the village of Vosne-Romanee, is a historic estate now helmed by the young and highly talented Maxime Cheurlin, grandson of founder Georges. He took over in 2010 aged just 20 years old, after studying at the Lycee du Viticole and gaining experience at the outstanding Rouget and Gros family domaines. Wines labeled 'Maxime Cheurlin Noëllat' come from fruit purchased from other growers who Maxime works closely with.
Maxime's winemaking style is heralded for the gentle treatment of the grapes, allowing terroir and finesse to shine through. He destems almost all of his red grapes, and allows for a natural extraction without excessive punch downs to achieve deliciously balanced tannins. After aging the wines are bottled without fining or filtration.
A lovely, ripe-tasting wine from the village of Chambolle with abundant flavours of red and black berries alongside a touch of wood. Rounded and smooth on the palate, with sweet spice notes and a lingering fruity finish.
