Nals Margreid is a winery in the Alto Adige Italy. The winery was established as a cooperative in 1932 and they source fruit from over 300 trusted growers in the area. The focus is always on quality and being ecologically aware. They have made a name for themselves highlighting local varieties and the differences between the multitude of tiny vineyard sites.
The Chardonnay grapes for this wine come from Magré planted on a gentle slope. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel before being left to age on it's lees for 5 months. The resulting wine is dense and tangy with beautiful tropical fruit flavours and an undercurrent of fresh sage.
A perfect companion to some good Pad Thai.
