A pair of fellows, based in Western Australia and disenchanted with the current state of the wine industry, decided to venture off the beaten path, reminiscing about the days when winemaking was a joyous endeavour and wine consumption was a source of pure pleasure. Their wines, unconventional and delightful, are a testament to their quest to revive the essence of winemaking enjoyment. Crafted with a focus on fruit-forward flavours and intricate savoury notes, each bottle promises to elevate any occasion.
Their latest creation is a blend of 91% Chardonnay and Viognier sourced from Geographe. The Chardonnay undergoes a unique process, partially tank and partially barrel fermented, spending nine months in seasoned oak, while the Viognier is carefully aged in barrels after lees treatment. The resulting wine is a bright and textured delight, boasting the aromatic floral notes of Viognier intertwined with the full-bodied richness of Chardonnay, complemented by a refreshing acidity that invigorates the palate.
