Beginning in 1959, as just the 13th winery to be bonded in Sonoma County, Rodney Strong remain to this day an excellent source of authentic, good value wines from Northern California. They have moved with the times, becoming the first carbon neutral winery in Sonoma County thanks to their large solar array and certified sustainable vineyard practices.
A classic California Cabernet, with fruit largely from their vineyards in the warm Alexander Valley region, aged for 20 months in a mix of American and French oak.
Bold and upfront, with cocoa, nutmeg, black cherry and creme de cassis aromas and a full-bodied and lush texture. The tannins are already delightfully soft making for a very approachable style of Cabernet, perfect for drinking now with lamb chops or braised oxtail.
