Tooth and Nail are grapegrowers and winemakers in the Central Coast region of Paso Robles, a hot and rugged place famed for its dark and heavy red wines. The Destinata wines challenge that perception, all made with minimal intervention (no added yeasts, no fining or filtration and only tiny additions of sulphur) from sustainably farmed vineyards.
The Syrah comes from Santa Barbara County, where cool breezes from the Pacific creates a perfect environment for growing fresh and balanced wines. The nose is packed with boysenberry, plum and blueberry fruit with the classic peppery notes of cool climate Syrah. It is silky and fruit-forward on the palate with lovely juicy acidity through the long finish.
