Gabriel Pisano, born into one of Uruguay's most renowned wine families, embarked on a path that would have a huge impact on the wine industry of his native country after completing his education at the Vine & Wine School in El Colorado. While honouring his family's legacy, Gabriel yearned to explore beyond the familiar confines and craft wines in diverse locations, which can provide a broader context for his family's wines and pushing the boundaries of winemaking in Uruguay. Reflecting his enthusiasm, energy, and open-mindedness, the wines produced under the label Viña Progreso bear the name of Gabriel's hometown, Progreso. Situated in the department of Canelones, Uruguay's foremost wine region in the southern part of the country, these progressive wines epitomize Gabriel's visionary approach
An exciting and notable wine style from Uruguay and an amazing example of this noble grape variety. Grown in clay calcareous soils similar to Burgundy with a high PH near the sea for high concentration of tannins and delicate flavours. This vintage is smooth and well-structured, with soft red fruit and herbaceous aromas. Enjoy now, or cellar for up to five years for further maturation.
