Translates, quite literally as The Altar. The fruit comes from a couple of north facing plots owned by two brothers. Daniel Ramos spent years trying to negotiate over these grapes, which have a vine age between 70-90 years. he finally got his hands on them and the resulting wine is joyous!
A beautifully perfumed wine. It is long and juicy on the palate with bright red fruit and a delicious raspberry licorice flavour. There is a herbal quality reflective of the local terrain which supports Rock Rose and Rosemary. There is a textural elegance from the granit (and sandy) soils.
