Chateau Brane-Cantenac is located to the west of the Cantenac village in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux. For many years the home ofLucien Lurton and is now owned and run by his son Henri. Brane-Cantenac's vineyards are planted with the classic Bordeaux varietals and lie on fine, gravelly soils.
This is a graceful and elegant wine, which offers a fragrant bouquet of dark berries, violets, and subtle oak spices. It's medium-bodied with velvety tannins and vibrant acidity and flavours of blackcurrant, plum, and a hint of earthy graphite. The finish is refined, with notes of cedar and a touch of tobacco, showcasing the classic sophistication of Margaux. A well-balanced wine with good aging potential.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
