Our new Basics tastings are all about demystifying wine and sharing knowledge in a friendly and informal way, with a different theme or concept each month.
Rioja is one of the most ubiquitous wines on shop shelves and restaurant lists here in the UK, and for good reason. But Spain has many other fantastic red wines to discover, ranging from silky, elegant and fresh to dark, bold and powerful. With nights drawing in and autumnal food on our plates, I think it's the perfect time to dig into some of these Iberian delights.
Don’t worry if you know nothing about wine or wine tasting, these events are intended to be completely beginner-friendly and I love answering all of your questions about anything wine-related!

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Sourcing Stock
Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

Great Wine/Spirit shop with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff
This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
