Proper, delicious Italian red in a bargain Bag in Box? It's perfect for entertaining, or just keeping around for a glass when you fancy one! From the excellent Cantine Povero, who's wines we have worked with for a while, and is made from 100% Barbera. It sees 6 months age in oak barrels, making it a bit more serious than the average Bag in Box offering.
Packed with juicy red cherry and berry fruit, with lovely smooth tannins from the barrel ageing, it's an easily quaffable drop but not short on flavour or personality. A great wine to share with pizza or pasta or served alongside cheese and charcuterie platters.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

Great Wine/Spirit shop with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff
This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
