Confidences de Prieuré-Lichine, Château Prieuré-Lichine Margaux 2016

Designated as a 4th Grand Cru Classé in 1855, Château Prieuré-Lichine is a renowned producer of exquisite Margaux wines that beautifully capture the essence of this exceptional appellation, situated on the left bank of Bordeaux. Originally known as Château du Prieuré de Cantenac, the estate transformed into Château Prieuré-Lichine when it was acquired by the charismatic Alexis Lichine, often referred to as the "Pope of Wine," in 1951. After his passing in 1989, his son Sacha assumed the stewardship of the estate until 1999 when the property became part of the Ballande group.

At the heart of Château Prieuré-Lichine's philosophy lies an unwavering commitment to excellence and the production of exceptional wines that unveil the complete range of expressions and nuances found in the exquisite Margaux terroirs.

2016, is a masterful blend crafted from Merlot (65%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (35%). An elegant, classic and polished Margaux with vibrant aromas of blackberry and red berry fruit, sweet spice and floral notes. The body is medium-to-full with supple tannins, ripe dark berry fruit flavours with touches of tobacco, smoke and minerally notes.
