Domaine des Hâtes, a family-owned winery with a rich history, is known for its unwavering commitment to crafting exceptional Chablis wines. Situated in the heart of the Chablis region in Burgundy, France, their vineyards benefit from the ideal combination of the unique Kimmeridgian soil and a cool climate, which contribute to the distinctive character of their wines.
This is a playful yet sophisticated Chablis, with subtle stone fruit, blossom and oyster shell aromas. It hails from fifty-year-old vines in the eponymous lieu-dit, which is rich in limestone. A proportion of the wine is barrel fermented for extra complexity and depth.
The ‘22 combines generous, juicy fruit – indicative of a relatively warm growing season – with shimmering acidity and a cleansing, saline finish.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
