Nine years ago, they began replanting, not just to replace, but to improve. They carefully selected top-tier clones and the most ideal spots on the farm for Chardonnay, and the results have been extraordinary.
The Groote Post Pinch of Salt Chardonnay showcases vibrant aromas of fresh stone fruits and zesty citrus. On the palate, crisp citrus and juicy yellow stone fruit mingle with steely minerality, balanced by a long, refreshing acidity that provides depth and concentration. This lightly oaked 2023 vintage is complex yet fresh, with a beautiful mineral backbone and a lively, zesty structure.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
