Quinta dos Roques is a 3rd generation family owned winery that only work with traditional grape varieties to make the traditional Portuguese blends. They are also pioneers in making varietal wines in the Dão Region during the 90s. Currently they work with 6 white varieties, 6 reds, and 3 mixed vineyards of +40 years, to produce a great variety of wines, from blends to varietals and sparkling wine.
Light straw and perfectly clear; with an elegant bouquet of fruits and a slight touch of resin. On the palate there is immediate freshness followed by great structure and complexity of the wine. The finish is very long and persistent.
Will satisfy the fans of young wines, though it will gain immensely with a few years in bottle. Perfect with seafood, strong fish dishes and spicy food.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
