The Mascot, crafted by Will Harlan, son of the renowned winemaker Bill Harlan, is a red wine sourced from young Cabernet Sauvignon vines of esteemed vineyards like Harlan Estate, BOND, and Promontory. These vineyards are celebrated in the region for their exceptional quality.
In the beautifully balanced 2019 vintage, this wine presents a complex aroma characterised by blackberries, black cherries, and cassis, complemented by hints of graphite, tobacco, and a subtle oak essence. A floral touch provides lift to the dense and weighty fruit. On the palate, it unfolds layers of luscious dark fruit, integrated tannins, and a lively acidity, providing a well-balanced and full-bodied tasting experience.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
