We are very pleased to offer this smashing mixed trio from one of our favourite French producers. Domaine des Trinites is a 24 hectare estate on the schist soils of Faugeres and Pezenas in the Languedoc. Owner and winemaker Simon Coulshawe farms organically and follows a very natural winemaking process in the cellar. His wines are beautiful expressions of this southern French terroir, fresh and drinkable with expressive fruit and minerality. We have included one of each style available in the shop and we have even discounted it to an unmissable price.
Domaine de Trinites Le Portail Faugeres 2022 - £15.95 - Classic Faugeres, 55% Syrah with 30% Mourvedre and 15% Grenache. Bold and complex in aroma, the Syrah character is on full display with pepper, black olive and rosemary notes alongside ripe blackberry and damson fruit. Ripe, silky tannins and clean acidity. Grilled meats, mushroom dishes and game will love being paired with Le Portail!
Domaine de Trinites La Lumiere Orange 2022- £17.95 - A stunningly good orange wine from a single parcel of Roussanne, fermented on skins for 21 days. Brilliant gold in colour, it displays vibrant aromas of Seville orange, papaya and cardamom. Full-bodied with soft tannins and lovely freshness, its a delight to drink by itself or pairs excellently with the bold flavours of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine.
Domaine de Trinites Pech Mege Pezenas-Languedoc 2022 - £14.95 - Le Pech Mege comes from a single vineyard on the Pezenas portion of the property, a blend of 55% Grenache with 25% Carignan and 20% Syrah. Beautiful ripe red fruits, plum and cherry, with warm spiciness and a hint of lavender on the nose. The palate opens rounded and generous with plenty of fruit but there is no shortage of freshness. A superb red for casseroles and roasted meats.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
