A project started in 2007 by 3 friends. The 12 hectare vineyards are located around Ormoz in the appellation of Styria (Stajerska) on the Jeruzalem-Ormoz hills close to the Hungarian-Croatian borders. The cool climate here is influenced by the Alps, the Adriatic Sea and the Pannonian Plain.
Verus Furmint is a refreshing 100% Furmint wine fermented slowly at cool temperatures, followed by a few weeks in stainless steel on the fine lees to add body and texture. Bottling occurs shortly after with a delicate fining and filtration. It hasa citrus-forward nose of grapefruit, lemon, and passion fruit. Its vibrant and fresh palate is enhanced by a chalky minerality, making it a must-have for wine enthusiasts. Enjoy it on its own or with delicate white fish or shellfish.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
