From Casa Relvas, the producer behind the delicious Sao Miguel, this is a delicious smooth red named after the Ciconia Ciconia storks that populate their local Alentejo countryside. It brings together Portuguese varieties Touriga Nacional and Aragonez with Syrah, with a portion aged in oak barrels, for a harmonious and flavoursome wine that punches well above its price tag.
Red and black berries and plums are foremost in the aroma with subtle peppery and floral notes. Soft tannins and juicy acidity make it a joy to drink with food such as lamb chops, lasagne or chicken with cherry tomatoes.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
